ARMOUR OF GOD for the heartbroken

They build you up but they tear you down,
don’t wait for an applause when your words don’t please the crowd.
Not powdered with sugar to make it taste right,
Just say what your told to if you want to win the fight.
Be clad in your amour,
And lift up your eyes.
Fight the right battles,
for the right prize.
There’s a war in words amplified in memories;
of the things that have been spoken that caused the heartbroken.
Some things just shouldn’t be said;
Some people just need to be taken down a peg.
Healed or not healed,
Wounded or bandaged up.
Scared to be yourself,  outspoken: is it a phrase in their song,
they say they don’t like to argue but that story can be proved wrong?
If they can’t put you in a place,
If they can’t make you fit in a neat little space,
you might just need to break the boundaries and create an explosion:
that shatters the mindsets of religious strongholds that shouldn’t of had them tied up in delusion.
So break the chains of oppression over our minds,
Open up the eyes of the ones that are blind.
Release the captives from pretty little boxes,
that prevent them from seeing,
the dirty filth of the world that’s crying out please help does your God hear us does he really heal the world?
So you are his eyes and his hands and his feet,
go get out of your church seats,
stop trying to compete!
Love the unlovely,
be kind to the weak,
be my voice for those that cannot speak.
Forget your pride and selfish ambitions and
humble yourselves and see what happens.
Be a fool for me without preconceived conditions,
miracles can happen when you forget your inhibitions and let go of the restraints of the fear of man on your mind,
like the song says start trying to be kind.

Picture created while locked in a phyc ward on an order and created in fight against the words and actions and treatment of the medical facility and inspired by the following verse: Ephesians 6:11-17

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
