Your Welcome

This is a post for those that feel rejected and isolated, for those who feel like they cant find a place and fit in.

This is a post for those who the enemy has used the church against to make them believe that God is not for them or interested in them being loved into the kingdom and out of being an orphan.

I have noticed this theme happening enough in my own life to realise that it must be a pain point for many that are too scared to walk into churches for fear of rejection.

Have you ever been told by a church that you are not welcome to attend, that they don’t like you or that it is not your place, you dont fit in, we dont like you, or you cause too much trouble? We dont see you as part of our vision or worse just ignore your communication? Don’t worry the religious people tried to get rid of Jesus too and guess who the type of people where that he liked to hang out with?

Recently I have noticed God using the phrase through some people that I meet to heal me of these rejection issues by saying “Your welcome” and I want to share that with you today also, you are welcome to come close to the father anytime you want.

The other week I was talking to a homeless guy and he was needing so much support but he was too scared to walk into a church because of how he had been hurt in the past, the church in general has some mending to do in this area and it starts with the members.

Lets look at this issue and how it effects people and what the answer is:

Yes there are particular groups that better suit particular cultures or niche interest areas, and yes there can be specific groups that people are planted in for seasons in their journey but that is never an excuse for a person in a position of authority to abuse that trust by saying things that will bring a person down and impact their faith journey in a negative way. Everyone should be welcome in church, no one owns a church or has the right to control people that is a form of spiritual abuse.

I think one of the answers is awareness, if people spend time learning about the types of spirits that can be operating in leaderships that are behind bad behaviors that can be a key to unmasking strategies and bringing restoration.

Another answer is the love when you see a need rather then trying to perform for approval see what is missing and address it, there are so many love starved people in churches needing help to overcome the hurts in their lives, be one of the people that brings healing to them not hurt.

Always ask the holy spirit how God sees that person rather then making your own judgements about them. Be the good fruit and make sure you heal any areas of wounding in yourself where you could hurt another so that you can be prepared to help those sent to you, because how awful would it be if that had to go and get deliverance from your ministry because of the damage you did.

I know these posts are real and raw and that they may offend but I really feel its time to pull back the curtains on some things in church cultures, its not like the hurting are not talking about these kinds of issues that are stopping them from going to church anyway so lets meet them where they are at, appologise for the ones that didn’t love them like Jesus and be a bridge to unity one person and conversation at a time.
