The Red Button

This week I was in a prayer meeting and someone mentioned a red button being hit, and I had previously watched a video at church that showed that also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rX23_xaWjU

Then I had some relationship issues happen during the week and Sandi Krakowski did a social media post that said “Get out of yo head” which is a line from that song also. So I wrote the following poem. (Artwork created with Lexie a 6 year old girl that wanted to learn how to paint, as she painted she got a vision which was a good illustration of simple childlike faith.)

Can’t fit the mould and do what your told? Being torn word by word by views of contorted souls? Wear a uniform and fall in line, doesn’t matter if it makes you blind. To conform, to the norm, to fit in the box, religion with a capital P is for parrot that repeats stale words. Nothing original, nothing unheard to reach into the hearts and minds of the gemstones and treasures of who he wants to find.

And why do you want to stir the pot? Why do you want to put people offside and look disrespectful to a lot? The answer is freedom to break the chains of oppression on the back of religion and tradition in mans minds that wants to control what it cannot define.

It’s for freedom that Christ has set us free, from the chains that bind the minds of religious confides, making us more broken, we’re choking from smoking their theology, it’s a brand of deception mixed in rejection under a microscope of do the right thing, the right way enough times to climb the hierarchy of levels un attained.

And it starts with a taste that is subtle under the radar, until there is a weapon planted to silence to roar; of the prophets, the miss fits and the firey ones, the ones that step to the beat of a different drum. The trouble makers that stir the haters and those confined to the norm, the unicorns and rockventurers of epic horizons explored.

Get out of the box and into his heart. Out of the lines when colouring to join the dots. And it’s ok to be a little crazy in his love lost in the romance of heaven above. So push the red button and let it explode his love bombs from heaven will have the tables overturned.

Seeing the ink between the black and the white, painting the contrast between religion and the love of Christ, separating the mixture between doctrines that make us less child like across the great divide. United in faith in the one who restores, lifted up in his arms to be taken higher then before.
